Our objective at Spirit Gate is to support each young person in discovering their unique gifts and special qualities to bring to the world. We offer a variety of experiential interactions with our herd and aim to foster physical well being as well as social and emotional intelligence. We can support youth who may be struggling and experiencing challenge in their lives.

Our focus is:

  • Inclusiveness – building safety and trust
  • Developing self acceptance and confidence
  • Identifying emotions as a language
  • Learning to trust the wisdom of the body
  • Setting clear intentions and boundaries
  • Creating communication that connects
  • Establishing actions with integrity
  • Positive perception of self image
  • Increase supportive social circles
  • Develop authentic leadership and team work
  • Having fun with horses

Our programs may benefit those experiencing:

  • Frustration and anger
  • Grief and depression
  • Difficulty with authority
  • Inability to communicate
  • A need for a safe and supportive environment

Equine Experiential learning does not require youth to be verbal about their thoughts & feelings; instead it allows them the opportunity to experience a safe and mindful environment in the company of the horses while receiving unbiased feedback from them.
